Call for Events: Join Us for European Safer Gambling Week 2024
26.09.2024
With this year’s European Safer Gambling Week (ESGW24) approaching on 18-24 November 2024, EGBA is inviting stakeholders to participate in this annual event by organising initiatives across Europe, aiming to raise awareness about safer gambling and foster sector-wide collaboration to enhance player protection.
Building on the success of last year’s campaign, which saw participation from over 160 partners across 20 European countries, 8 million safer gambling messages shared with public audiences on social media, and 18 local events bringing together experts to discuss the latest developments in safer gambling, EGBA is setting ambitious goals for ESGW24.
“Last year’s European Safer Gambling Week demonstrated the industry’s shared commitment to fostering a strong culture of safer gambling. With ESGW24 set for 18-24 November, we’re calling on stakeholders to start planning now so that together we can make this edition even more impactful,” said Maarten Haijer, Secretary General, EGBA.
EGBA invites stakeholders, including operators, trade associations, harm-prevention organisations, national gambling authorities, to participate to ESGW24 by, for example:
- Organising events such as webinars, workshops, or panel discussions.
- Contributing to the social media campaign with messages in local languages.
- Introducing new safer gambling initiatives.
- Hosting training sessions for staff or customers.
- Publishing thought leadership that contributes to safer gambling.
Stakeholders interested in participating in European Safer Gambling Week 2024 are encouraged to contact us for more information and to register their events. To assist planning, we encourage stakeholders to register events before 18 October (soft deadline).
Branding materials, including logos and social media graphics in local languages, will be available upon request after 4 October to support your ESGW24 initiatives.
