Tipico joins the European Gaming and Betting Association

EGBA is pleased to welcome Tipico to its growing membership.

Brussels, 19 January 2026 – The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) is pleased to welcome Tipico, Germany’s leading sports betting and online gambling operator, as its newest member. The partnership strengthens EGBA’s position as the leading voice for Europe’s online gambling sector and reinforces the association’s representation in one of Europe’s most important and largest national gambling markets.

Tipico’s membership of EGBA demonstrates its commitment to advancing industry cooperation and standards, and will significantly strengthen EGBA’s representation in Germany and across German-speaking markets. Tipico will now begin contributing in EGBA’s working groups and to the association’s initiatives, including on responsible advertising, safer gambling, and anti-money laundering.

Jochen Weiner, Director Public Policy at Tipico, commented on the membership: “As a company committed to player protection and regulatory excellence, we look forward to contributing our expertise to EGBA’s important work. This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to promoting high industry standards and our fight against the black market for online gambling in Europe.”

“We’re delighted to welcome Tipico to EGBA and to start 2026 with such a strong addition to our membership,” said Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of EGBA. “As Germany’s leading online gambling operator with a strong track record, Tipico brings valuable expertise to our association and will reinforce our collective efforts to promote a well-regulated and sustainable gambling sector in Europe. We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues on our shared commitment to high industry standards.”
